As first time homebuyers, we didn't know much about the home buying process. We were referred to Kerry by our lender. Kerry helped us understand the process as we walked through every step together. She gave us a lot of information and made sure we understood every step that we were taking. But with Kerry, it didn't feel like just a business transaction. We developed a genuine friendship with her. She looked out for our interests.

About mid to late 2008, my wife and I decided the townhouse in Carmel Valley just had to go.  Lorraine is a Family Therapist and I'm a Psychologist and Lawyer, and we considered many possible approaches to finding a realtor.  We were referred to Kerry, and I initially bristled at the thought of paying full fare.  What for?  What could she do that the others couldn't? 
 
The answer?  Probably nothing.  But...that's probably the wrong question.  A better one: what DID she do?  I'll tell you. 
 
SHE DID EVERYTHING.  SHE DID IT FAST.  CORRECTLY THE FIRST TIME.  NO MISTAKES.  NO MISUNDERSTANDINGS.  SUPERB AND INTELLIGENT PREDICTION OF WHAT THE MARKET WOULD BEAR.  NO DELAYS.  NO...BALONEY.  WELL CHOSEN, WELL TIMED CONCERTED ACTION.  What a RELIEF.
 
The outcome?
 
Our townhouse sold for our asking price in a precipitously falling market ahead of at least one other in our complex that was NICER THAN OURS.  Game, set, match.
 
She did all the plain realtor stuff, with the documents, with the pricing, with the preparation.  When I couldn't get over there to water the grass, she did that too.  Not to promise she'll get out the forklift, but she might try. 
 
Was it worth it? 
 
YES.
 
There's more.  After the deal was done and long done, I was looking for help with a problem that arose in a land investment in Boise, Idaho.  I asked Kerry if she just happened to know anybody there.  She said no, and I forgot I'd asked her.  
 
Perhaps a week later she called and said she'd contacted an Idaho realtor she remembered from a conference, and had a referral to a real estate attorney in Boise.  "I can't personally vouch for his skills, but I think he's at least well-connected."  It turned out that he practices with the son of the newly elected Senator of Idaho, was exceedingly bright, and referred me onward very well.  This little vignette reflects what it's like to deal with Kerry.  All the expectations will be exceeded.  Surprises will arise.  More than one's share of those will resolve well if Kerry has her hand in the deal.
 
In sum, she did absolutely everything, and did it all very well.  She is exceedingly competent and helped us to be realistic and successful.  This is everything an agency relationship ideally should  be.  I live by referrals.  This is a good one.
